System Environments
Operating Systems
- Main- : OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)
- Sub- : Debian GNU/Linux Wheezy (7.9)
- Server: Debian GNU/Linux Wheezy || Squeeze
- Mobile: iOS 9.2.1
Hardware Systems
- OS X installed : MacBook Pro(13-inch, Mid 2009) 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
The latest version of VirtualBox has the issue of Bluetooth disconnection. Details of the circumstance is the following
- VirtualBox 5.0.14
- Host: OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)
- Guest: Debian GNU/Linux Wheezy (7.9) w/ XFCE
- Extension pack and guest addition are properly installed
When the guest OS starts, all Bluetooth connections are immediately lost. A while after turning off the guest OS and closing VirtualBox, connections come back. A weird point is that only the Debian guest has the problem. For another guest OS I am using like Kubuntu 12.04, there is no such an issue. According to my test, it doesn't matter how many times you restart your host OS or re-install guest additions.
A solution is VirtualBox 5.0.12. Everything works fine as it has been always.
It bothers, but OK. The only thing I hope is that it is just an unrecognized bug or something. The worst case is that the Oracle team might decide not to support my MacBook Pro any more, because simply my model is quite old enough.
